HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!

  

I can’t believe it, it’s been a year today. She’s one, oh my word! Time flies when you have kids…I hate it. Anyway, we had a rockin party on Sunday, with lots of cake and ice cream. Here’s to another great year. Oh yeah, she’s walking all over the place, can’t keep her down.

Whether you have kids or not, if you believe in the Lord our Father you should take the time to experience this. Many of you may or may not know of Rick and Bubba. They are two of the funniest morning radio show guys around. I had the privelage of listening to them every morning when I lived in Alabama. I miss them. This past weekend a tragic event took place in Rick’s family involving his 2 year old son. And I pray for Rick and his family during this unimaginable time.

Welcome to the new digs. I finally made the move, I jumped on the band wagon and decided to give wordpress a shot. So far so good. Let me know if you guys like it any better. You know all two of you that visit this place.

It’s that time again, the annual family photo. This year the photographer had to pan out a little more, with the new addition and all. Boy how time flies, it seems like just yesterday Brandie and I were planning our wedding. Ten years later we’re a full blown family unit. I’m just so happy to have what I have, I am so blessed. I have a wife that puts up with me (I don’t know how) and two kids that are just clones of Brandie and I. Peyton’s definitely got Brandie’s heart and Mary Grace… well I think she may have all my bad trates. God help us.

I love my wife!

Not only do I have the most beautiful wife in the world I also have the most giving. Why, you may ask…well let put it to you this way. I’m blogging from my new birthday gift, my very own iPhone. Possibly the best gift I’ve ever received. Besides her and my two kids. So, maybe Steve didn’t come through, but my lovely wife sure did! Thank you honey I love you so much.

I was planning on posting pic of me getting the phone but I haven’t figured out how to get images in post from phone…I’m sure it’s easy enough I’m just to impatient.

No, not the blog entry, I’m actually referring to the time between visits of good friends.

Okay, I know everyone has been on pins and needles waiting on my next blog. In fact I received a comment for my very good friend “Boomama” who is, how can I say this, a BLOG QUEEN! She has to be the most driven blogger in the world. If you haven’t checked her out please do so. Boomama watch out the hits are coming, it may blow up your computer.But seriously…the heat! You know it’s bad we you look forward to the highs staying in the 90’s. It’s just down right miserable.We did venture out this weekend and finally made it out to the Balloon Festival, we had a great time. Ran into an old friend and was able to finally meet his son. We caught up on old times, it was great. It made me realize how often you forget special bonds you have with people. Something interesting, I emailed him we returned home, after sending the email I checked my sent files it was exactly 1 year to the day that I had previously send him an email.

Steve, if you read this….

 No need to thank me, I’m sure this post will help boost sells. But if you insist you can overnight it to the house, you’ve got the address.

What makes a best friend?

I had a nice catch up session today with one of my best friends ever. And when we hung up the phone (no, not an iPhone, yet) I realized one very important fact. It’s not how often you see a person, how often you talk to them or even how often you think of them. At the end of the day it’s all about one thing knowing them inside and out. It had probably been over six months since I had spoken to my friend, and it took all of about a 1/10 of a second to pick up from where we had left off. I am so blessed to have a relationship like this.It made me think, how amazing it is that God has this relationship with every Christian out there. Hopefully without the every six month thing. My point, don’t be a stranger, call your friend, catch up. It’ll make you realize just how much you miss and love that person. Thank you Lord, for best friends.
